We finally got around to putting in a new driveway last year and replaced the sidewalk leading to our front door and I was amazed at the newness in appearance it gave our home. We did a little concrete stamping and coloring on the sides of the driveway and the walk, our house looks 20 years newer and in the old neighborhoods of Salt Lake remodeling has become rage. Everyone is fixing up, redoing, remodeling, and renovated these older homes to make them chic and classy. It is fun to be in the middle of all this activity and see the results that can come from a little work.Older homes in Utah benefit by kitchen remodels the most, I think. It is amazing to me that people raised 6 or more children in these homes that have postage stamps size kitchens. Before we renovated our kitchen we were standing room only. But with knocking out the wall between the living room and kitchen we now have a beautiful kitchen that easily can sit 20 people. Granite counter tops, maple cabinets and a cozy fireplace and our house doesn’t look its 50+ years anymore.Utah remodeling or renovation is in rage right now as the cost of new homes makes it much more economical to stay put and simply remodel those area that could benefit from a facelift. Spring has sprung, time to get busy doing the jobs we have been procrastinating all winter and spring. You will be glad you did.
